Vellimer

Privacy notice

Last updated: 2 October 2026

Who we are

Vellimer is operated by its founder as a self-employed individual registered in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Full legal details are on the Legal notice page. Contact for privacy matters: hello@vellimer.com.

This notice covers this website and the enquiries you send us. If you met Vellimer as a fragrance reader on a perfume shop's website, that shop is the controller of your data and its privacy policy applies; we act as the shop's processor under a data-processing agreement. The section The reader on shops' websites explains what happens to your question.

What we collect on this site

Why, and on what basis

Who receives it

Railway, Resend and Google each process data under their own data-processing terms, which include the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long

An enquiry is kept while the contact remains commercially relevant; we review the list at least once a year and delete an enquiry on request. Server logs: 7 days. E-mail correspondence: as long as our business relationship lasts.

International transfers

We are established in Uzbekistan and host in the United States. Where the GDPR applies to your data, transfers to our providers are covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses; write to us for a copy of the relevant safeguards.

The reader on shops' websites

When a shop's page with the reader loads, your IP address reaches our hosting platform, whose access logs keep it for 7 days, even if you never open the reader. When you ask the consultant a question, the text of your question and that conversation are sent to Google, the provider of the language model (Gemini), to produce the answer, together with the shop's catalogue. We keep no database of conversations. Google does not use them to improve its products; it keeps them for 55 days solely to detect and prevent abuse of its service, then deletes them. If Google's service has a technical failure, we may temporarily switch to Anthropic PBC (USA), which deletes them within 30 days and does not use them to train its models. The reader sets no cookies. It keeps a few technical entries in your browser's local storage: whether you have already seen its short introduction, how many questions you asked today (for the daily limit), whether the shop marked you as a registered customer, and the height of the panels it has already shown — noted per fragrance you opened — so that they do not jump on your next visit. These entries never contain your questions or contact details, are not sent to us, and disappear when you clear this site's data in your browser. Our current list of sub-processors is at vellimer.com/legal/subprocessors. The shop's privacy policy is the place to look for your rights in that context; we help the shop respond to any request.

Your rights

Where the GDPR applies, you may ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on our legitimate interest, by writing to hello@vellimer.com. You may also complain to a data protection authority. Under the law of Uzbekistan you have corresponding rights; contact us the same way.

Changes

We will post changes here with a new date.
